What is Magic?
Magic: The Gathering is a card game where you play a wizard, called a planeswalker, who casts spells and calls up creatures to defeat the other player. You start with 20 life, play land cards to make mana, and spend that mana on everything else. The game has five colors, and each one plays differently.
Never played Magic?
That is fine. We teach new players at the table, and our How to Play Magic guide covers the basics if you want to read ahead.
Signing up
Sign up one Sunday at a time on our Bat City Magic Club page, or ask at the counter.
What to bring
Not sure what to bring? Ask at the counter or call (512) 276-2870 before Sunday. Sleeves and deck boxes are in the shop if you want to protect a deck.
Bring lunch
Four hours is a good stretch, so feel free to bring lunch. Outside food and drink are fine in the shop. Please help us keep the gaming area clean, and see our Store Policies for the house rules.
